A Summer Built Around You

Our July giveaway wasn't a one-off. It was the finale of a whole season of community events, starting with the McKenzie Towne Stampede Breakfast and wrapping up with the Beach Blaster in Mahogany.

At every stop, we handed out prizes and got to spend real time with the people who live here — because for us, being part of this community means more than just knowing the streets. It means being on them.

Everyone who joined us at those events and opted into the bonus prize draw was automatically entered for our grand prize: a two-night stay in a stunning two-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury condo in Canmore's Spring Creek area. Sleeping up to seven, with a mountain-view balcony and its own hot tub, the space is just steps from Canmore's Main Street, the Malcolm Hotel, and some of the best restaurants and pathways in the Bow Valley. Valued at over $1,000, it's the kind of prize that makes a whole family's fall getaway.

The Big Draw

With a full wheel of names representing everyone who came out to support our summer events, Mike and April spun for the win — and one lucky winner will soon be getting a personal call from our team to book their stay. Since the condo is fully booked through early October, the winner will have their pick of dates for a cozy fall escape, right as the mountain air gets that first crisp edge and the summer crowds start to thin.

Movie in the Park — Mahogany

Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 PM, down by the fishing docks at the Beach Club. This resident event is a Mahogany favorite, and this year's feature comes from the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy.

We'll be there with our popcorn and Kahoot — come find us!

Music in the Park — McKenzie Towne

September 18th, 5–10 PM. This one's open to everyone, whether you live in McKenzie Towne or not — bring your friends! Expect great food trucks, Village Brewery on hand, and genuinely impressive live talent (last time's lineup included a performer with an American Idol golden ticket). It'll be the last one of the season, but given how much this event has grown, we don't expect it to be the last one ever. A local secret: there's extra parking at the Catholic church lot nearby.

Events like these are a reminder of what we love most about this work — it's never just about transactions, it's about the community we get to be part of every single day.
